अनुज्ञातस्तु शाण्डिल्या यथागतमुपागमत् | नैव चासादयामास तथारूपांस्तुरंगमान्,तत्पश्चात् शाण्डिलीकी आज्ञा ले वे जैसे आये थे, वैसे ही चले गये। वे गालवके बताये अनुसार श्यामकर्ण घोड़े नहीं पा सके
anujñātas tu śāṇḍilyā yathāgatam upāgamat | naiva cāsādayāmāsa tathārūpāṁs turaṅgamān |
シャーンディリーの許しを得ると、彼は来たときのままに立ち去った。だが求められた種の馬は得られず、ガーラヴァの語った「黒き耳の駿馬」はついに見いだされなかった。
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights ethical clarity in action: one should strive diligently, but also accept reality without deceit or coercion, and report outcomes truthfully when the required conditions cannot be met.
After being granted leave by Śāṇḍilī, the seeker departs as he came, but fails to procure the specifically described horses (as per Gālava’s requirement), indicating a setback in the ongoing quest.
