पुरंदरो5थ संचिन्त्य वैनतेयपराक्रमम् । विष्णुमेवाब्रवीदेनं भवानेव ददात्विति,तब देवराज इन्द्रने गरुड़के पराक्रमका विचार करके भगवान् विष्णुसे कहा--“आप ही इसे उत्तम आयु प्रदान कीजिये”
puraṃdaro 'tha saṃcintya vainateyaparākramam | viṣṇum evābravīd enaṃ bhavān eva dadātv iti ||
そのときプランダラ（インドラ）は、ヴァイナテーヤ（ガルダ）の大いなる武威を思い、ただヴィシュヌに向かって言った。「その恩寵は、あなたご自身が彼に授けられるべきです。」
