अष्टादशपुराणानां श्रवणाद् यत् फलं भवेत् | तत् फलं समवाप्रोति वैष्णवो नात्र संशय:
aṣṭādaśa-purāṇānāṃ śravaṇād yat phalaṃ bhavet | tat phalaṃ samavāpnoti vaiṣṇavo nātra saṃśayaḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「十八のプラーナを聴聞して得られる功徳、その功徳を、ヴィシュヌに帰依する者は『マハーバーラタ』のみを聴くことで余すところなく得る。疑いはない。」
