तदर्थ पादशेषं वा वित्तशाव्यविवर्जितम्‌ । यद्‌ यदेवात्मनो<भीष्टं तत्‌ तद्‌ देयं द्विजातये

Transliteration

tadarthaṃ pādaśeṣaṃ vā vittāśāvyavivarjitam | yad yad evātmano 'bhīṣṭaṃ tat tad deyaṃ dvijātaye ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「もし全き分量を整えられぬなら、残りの端分であっても捧げよ――財があるのに吝嗇の汚れを帯びてはならぬ。己がとりわけ愛し大切にする品こそ、そのまま二度生まれの者（ブラーフマナ）に施しとして与えるべきである。」
