Shloka 75

राजन! भरतश्रेष्ठ! हरिवंशपर्वमें भी प्रत्येक पारणके समय ब्राह्मणोंको यथावत्‌ रूपसे खीर भोजन कराये ।।

rājan bharataśreṣṭha harivaṁśaparvaṇi api pratyeka-pāraṇa-kāle brāhmaṇān yathāvat kṣīra-bhojanaṁ bhojayet. samāpya sarvāḥ prayataḥ saṁhitāḥ śāstra-kovidaḥ śubhe deśe niveśya atha kṣaumavastrābhisaṁvṛtāḥ.

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、バーラタ族の最勝者よ! ハリヴァンシャ・パルヴァにおいても、各誦読の結びごとに、婆羅門たちへ乳粥(khīra)を正しく施して饗すべきである。すべてのサンヒター(saṁhitā)を慎み深く完了したなら、経典に通じた者はそれらを細布—亜麻または絹—に包み、吉祥の地に安置せよ。ついで沐浴などにより身を清め、白衣をまとい、花鬘と装身具を身につけ、檀香や花鬘ほかの供物をもって、それらの写本集を一つ一つ別々に、法にかなって礼拝すべし。心を専一にして清浄に保ち、上等の食、飲み物、花環、その他の悦ばしき贈り物を供えよ。」
