Shloka 63

द्रोणपर्वणि विप्रेभ्यो भोजनं परमार्चितम्‌

droṇaparvaṇi viprebhyo bhojanaṃ paramārcitam

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「ドローナ・パルヴァ(Droṇa Parva)において、婆羅門たちには、最上の礼をもって尊ばれた食事が供された。」この一句は、戦の暴虐と動乱のただ中にあっても、ヴィプラ(vipra)—学徳ある聖なる客—への敬意と、客をもてなす義務(atithi-satkāra)を守り抜くべきだという、叙事詩の倫理的主張を示している。
