divyāṁl lokān vicarati divyair bhogaiḥ samanvitaḥ | vibudhānāṁ prasādena śriyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
Merit (puṇya) culminates in posthumous elevation: the righteous person gains access to divine realms and experiences refined enjoyments, yet the verse also stresses that such glory is confirmed and intensified by the gods’ favor (prasāda), linking ethical action with grace.
The narrator describes the blessed state of a virtuous soul after death: he traverses heavenly worlds, enjoying celestial pleasures, and is adorned with supreme splendor granted through the benevolence of the gods.
