Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
kṛtavarmā tu hārdikyaḥ praviveśa marudgaṇān | sanatkumāra-pradyumnaḥ praviveśa yathāgatam ||
The verse presents a post-war, post-life resolution: individuals ultimately return to their originating divine or cosmic principle. It highlights the impermanence of worldly roles and the supremacy of the cosmic order in which each being is reabsorbed into its proper source.
Vaiśampāyana narrates the final destinies of key figures: Kṛtavarmā merges into the Maruts, while Pradyumna—understood as an incarnation/manifestation of Sanatkumāra—returns to that original form, ‘as he had come’.
