Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
नदीमार्गेषु च तथा संक्रमानवसादयेत् । जलं विस्रावयेत् सर्वमविस्राव्यं च दूषयेत्
nadīmārgeṣu ca tathā saṅkramān avasādayet | jalaṃ visrāvayet sarvam avisrāvyaṃ ca dūṣayet ||
ビーシュマは言った。「同様に、川の流路を塞ぎ、渡河の浅瀬（徒渉地）を使えぬようにせよ。水はすべて放流して枯らし、放流できぬ水は汚してしまえ。」
