अपर बछ। हक २ >> चतु:पञ्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण और भीष्मजीकी बातचीत जनमेजय उवाच धर्मात्मनि महावीर्ये सत्यसंधे जितात्मनि । देवव्रते महाभागे शरतल्पगते<च्युते

Janamejaya uvāca | dharmātmani mahāvīrye satyasaṃdhe jitātmani | devavrate mahābhāge śaratālpagate 'cyute |

ジャナメージャヤは言った。「大聖よ、ダルマに心を置き、比類なき武勇を備え、真実に堅く、自己を制し、決してダルマから逸れぬ高徳のデーヴァヴラタ・ビーシュマが矢の床に横たわり、パーンダヴァたちが侍してその前に立ったとき—両軍がことごとく滅び去った後の、あの重大な場において、どのような言葉が交わされたのですか。どうかお聞かせください。」
