दत्तचक्षुरिवाकाशे पश्यामि विमृशामि च । प्रज्ञानवचनाद्यो5यमुपदेशो हि मे कृत:,आपने मुझे यह उपदेश क्या दिया, अन्धेको आँख दे दी। आपके इस ज्ञानमय वचनको सुनकर मैं आकाशकी ओर देखता और कर्तव्यका विचार करता हूँ
dattacakṣur ivākāśe paśyāmi vimṛśāmi ca | prajñānavacanād yo ’yam upadeśo hi me kṛtaḥ ||
婆羅門は言った。「まるで盲人に視力を授けたかのようだ。賢明で明察に満ちた言葉から生まれたこの教えを聞いて、私は今、広く開けた天を仰ぐかのように、なすべきことを省みている。」
ब्राह्मण उवाच
True instruction grounded in wisdom (prajñā) removes inner blindness: it grants clarity and enables careful deliberation about dharma—what should be done—rather than impulsive action.
A Brahmin responds to a prior teaching with gratitude and transformation. He compares the counsel to restoring sight, saying that after hearing it he can ‘see’ clearly and thoughtfully consider his proper course of action.
