एष ते कथितो धर्म: सात्वत: कुरुनन्दन । कुरुष्वैनं यथान्यायं यदि शक्तोडसि भारत,भरतभूषण! कुरुनन्दन! यह तुम्हें सात्वत-धर्मका परिचय दिया गया है। यदि तुमसे हो सके तो यथोचितरूपसे इस धर्मका पालन करो
eṣa te kathito dharmaḥ sātvataḥ kurunandana | kuruṣvainaṃ yathānyāyaṃ yadi śakto 'si bhārata ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「クル族の喜びよ、サートヴァタのダルマはすでに汝に説き明かされた。もし成し得るなら、バーラタよ、正しく相応しい仕方でこのダルマを実践せよ。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Having heard the Sātvata dharma, the listener is urged to embody it—not merely to know it—by practicing it in a way that accords with nyāya (justice and propriety), and only to the extent of one’s real capacity.
Vaiśampāyana concludes a section of instruction by telling a Kuru prince (addressed as Kurunandana and Bhārata) that the teaching on Sātvata dharma has been delivered and should now be put into practice rightly.
