Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
यत्र वेदा विनिक्षिप्तास्तत् स्थान शून्यमेव च । इधर वेदध्वनिके स्थानपर आकर मधु और कैटभ दोनों दानवोंने जब कुछ नहीं देखा
yatra vedā vinikṣiptās tat sthānaśūnyam eva ca |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ヴェーダが投げ落とされたその場所は、まったくの空虚に見えた。ヴェーダの響きが聞こえた辺りへ来て、マドゥとカイタバの二人のダーナヴァが見回しても何も見えず、彼らは勢いよく、ヴェーダを落としておいた場所へ引き返した。だがそこを見ても、やはり空っぽの場所があるばかりであった。
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Sacred knowledge (the Vedas) is not an object to be possessed through violence or pride; when approached with adharma, it eludes grasp, underscoring that dharma and inner fitness—not brute force—govern access to higher truth.
Madhu and Kaiṭabha search for the Vedas by following their perceived sound, but find nothing; they return to the spot where the Vedas were cast down and discover it empty, indicating the Vedas have been removed or concealed beyond their reach.
