Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)

नारायणाद्‌ वरं लब्ध्वा प्राप्प योगमनुत्तमम्‌ । क्रमं प्रणीय शिक्षां च प्रणयित्वा स गालव:

nārāyaṇād varaṁ labdhvā prāpya yogam anuttamam | kramaṁ praṇīya śikṣāṁ ca praṇayitvā sa gālavaḥ ||

ナーラーヤナより恩寵を得て無上のヨーガの規律に到った聖仙ガーラヴァは、ヴェーダ誦読の次第(クラマ)を体系化し、さらに音声と発音の学であるシクシャー(Śikṣā)を著した。かくして彼は、ヴェーダを秩序正しく整序する法に円満に成就した者たちの中で最も卓越する者となり、霊的覚知と聖なる知の慎重な護持とが、一つの倫理的義務として結び合うことを示した。
