Adhyāya 33 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Post-Conflict Remorse and Inquiry on Āśrama Discipline (शोक-विमर्शः, आश्रम-जिज्ञासा)
दृष्टवा ज्ञातिवधं घोरं हतांश्न शतश: परान् | कोटिशश्व नरानन्यान् परितप्ये पितामह
dṛṣṭvā jñātivadhaṃ ghoraṃ hatāṃś ca śataśaḥ parān | koṭiśaś ca narān anyān paritapye pitāmaha ||
ユディシュティラは言った。「我が一族の恐るべき殺戮を目の当たりにし、さらに他の者たちが幾百と斃れ、いやそれ以上に数知れぬ人々が倒れるのを見て、私は悔恨に焼き尽くされております、祖父よ。」
