Adhyāya 325: Nārada in Śvetadvīpa—Stotra to the Nirguṇa Mahātman

क्रीडन्त्यश्व हसन्त्यश्न गायन्त्यश्वापिता: शुभम्‌

krīḍanty aśva hasanty aśn gayanty aśvāpītāḥ śubham

ビーシュマは言った。「彼女らは戯れ、笑い、食し、吉祥の歌をうたう――アシュヴァメーダ(馬祭)の奠酒を飲み干したのちに。」文脈においてこの一句は、繁栄と祭儀成就の外形を描きつつ、真の功徳は祝宴の華やかさではなく、正しい意図と行いにこそ依るのだと暗に諭している。
