Educational Q&A

Through self-discipline and steady meditative absorption, one gains direct realization of the supreme, imperishable Brahman, experienced as an inner luminosity that dispels the darkness of ignorance.

In the Shānti Parva’s instruction on peace and liberation, the sage Yājñavalkya teaches a contemplative doctrine: the yogin who becomes firmly composed perceives Brahman within the heart, illustrated by the image of a blazing fire shining amid great darkness.
