कर्तृत्वात् प्रकृतीनां च तथा प्रकृतिधर्मिता,नाना प्रकृतियोंको अपनेमें स्वीकार कर लेनेसे वह प्रकृति-धर्मवाला हो जाता है
kartṛtvāt prakṛtīnāṃ ca tathā prakṛti-dharmitā | nānā prakṛtīḥ svayam ātmany aṅgīkṛtya sa prakṛti-dharmavān bhavati ||
ヤージュニャヴァルキヤは言った。「プラクリティ(自然)の諸要素が行為者として働き、また人が自然の法そのものによって形づくられるがゆえに、さまざまな気質や傾向を自らの内に受け入れる者は、プラクリティのグナ(性質)に支配される。」
याज़्वल्क्य उवाच
If one identifies with and adopts many shifting natural tendencies (prakṛti), one becomes ruled by prakṛti’s law; freedom requires discernment that separates the self from nature’s impulses.
