फलकं परिधानश्चल तथा कण्टकवस्त्रधूक्‌ । कीटकावसनश्लैव चीरवासास्तथैव च

Transliteration

phalakaṁ paridhānaś ca tathā kaṇṭaka-vastra-dhūk | kīṭakāvasanaś caiva cīra-vāsās tathaiva ca ||

Translation

ヴァシシュタは言った。「ある時は樹皮を衣としてまとい、ある時はありふれた衣を着、またある時は棘のように荒く痛む衣さえ身につける。ある時は虫より得た柔らかな絹をまとうが、またある時はただのぼろ布をまとって生きるのだ。」
