आत्मदोषांश्व विज्ञाय सर्वानात्मनि संश्रितान्‌ स्वदेहादुत्थितान्‌ गन्धांस्तथा विज्ञाय चाशुभान्‌

ātmadoṣāṁś ca vijñāya sarvān ātmani saṁśritān | svadehād utthitān gandhāṁs tathā vijñāya cāśubhān ||

ビーシュマは言った。「自らの内に宿る一切の自分の過失を明らかに見定め、さらに自らの身体から絶えず立ちのぼる不浄で不快な臭気をも見抜いたなら、離欲(ヴァイラーギャ)をもって背を向け、至上の自己たるパラマートマンを観想して、輪廻の束縛からの解脱を求めて努めよ。」
