Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving

रणाजिरे यत्र शराग्निसंस्तरे नृपात्मजो घातमवाप्य दह्ाते । प्रयाति लोकानमरै: सुदुर्लभान्‌ निषेवते स्वर्गफलं यथासुखम्‌

raṇājire yatra śarāgnisaṃstare nṛpātmajo ghātam avāpya dahyate | prayāti lokān amaraiḥ sudurlabhān niṣevate svargaphalaṃ yathāsukham ||

戦場において—大地が矢と火の床のように散り敷かれるその場で—王子が死に遭い、(戦の炎に)焼き尽くされるなら、神々にさえ到り難い諸世界へと旅立つ。そこで彼は安らかに、天界の果報を思うままに享受する。
