जब ब्रह्माजीने इस प्रकार कहा और यज्ञमें भाग मिलनेकी भी व्यवस्था हो गयी, तब महादेवजी अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्मासे इस प्रकार बोले--“तथास्तु' ऐसा ही हो ।।
tathāstu—ity evaṃ bhavatu. parāṃ ca prītim agamad utsmayan caiva pinākadhṛk | avāpa ca tadā bhāgaṃ yathoktaṃ brahmaṇā bhavaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ブラフマーがこのように語り、また供犠（ヤジュニャ）における取り分が定められると、無量の光輝を具えたマハーデーヴァはブラフマーに告げた。『タター・アストゥ――まさにそのとおりに。』するとピナーカの弓を携える者は微笑み、深い満足に満たされ、バヴァ（シヴァ）はその時、ブラフマーの宣言どおりに供犠の分け前を受け取った。」
