Yudhiṣṭhira’s Remorse and Vyāsa’s Teaching on Impermanence (Śoka-nivāraṇa)

मैवमित्यब्रवीद्‌ व्यासो निगृहाय मुनिसत्तम: । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! अपने बन्धु-जनोंके शोकसे विह्बल होकर युधिष्ठिरको ऐसी बातें करते देख मुनिवर व्यासजीने उन्हें रोककर कहा--“नहीं, ऐसा नहीं हो सकता”

māivam ity abravīd vyāso nigṛhāya munisattamaḥ |

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「ジャナメージャヤよ。親族の死を嘆き悲しみに打ちひしがれ、そのように語るユディシュティラを見て、苦行者の中の最勝たる聖仙ヴィヤーサは彼を制し、こう言った。『否、それはならぬ。』」
