ममेदमिति नास्यैतत्‌ प्रवर्तेत कलौ युगे । लोकयात्रा न चैव स्यादथ चेद्‌ वेत्थ शंस नः

Transliteration

mamedam iti nāsyaitat pravarteta kalau yuge | lokayātrā na caiva syād atha ced vettha śaṃsa naḥ ||

Translation

「カリの世においては、『これは我がもの、あれは他人のもの』という観念が、もはや確かな歯止めとして働かぬ。人々はあからさまに他者の財を奪い、社会の常の営み—共に立つ生計と相互の交わり—は保てなくなる。もしその処方を知るなら、我らに告げよ。」
