कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

अग्नीन् परिचरन् सम्यक् स्वाध्यायपरमो द्विज: । वानप्रस्थविधानज्ञों जाजलिज्वलित: श्रिया
agnīn paricaran samyak svādhyāya-paramo dvijaḥ | vānaprastha-vidhāna-jño jājali-jvalitaḥ śriyā ||
ビーシュマは言った。「その両生の聖者は聖火を正しく奉仕し、何よりもスヴァーディヤーヤ（svādhyāya：ヴェーダの自習・誦習）に専心していた。林住期（vānaprastha）の定められた規律を知り尽くしていたゆえに、ジャージャリは霊的な栄光に輝き、まるで光に燃え立つかのようであった。」
