Prahlāda–Indra Saṃvāda: Kartṛtva (Agency) and Svabhāva (Nature) in the Causation of Karma
वाकृप्रबद्धो हि संसारो विरागाद् व्याहरेद् यदि । बुद्धयाप्यनुगृहीतेन मनसा कर्म तामसम्
vākṛprabaddho hi saṃsāro virāgād vyāhared yadi | buddhyāpy anugṛhītena manasā karma tāmasam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「世の束縛はまことに言葉と行いによって結ばれている。ゆえに常に高貴な言葉を語れ。もし離欲（ヴァイラーギャ）を得たなら、識別の知によって心を制し、暴力など自らのタマス的（tāmasika）な行いさえも明らかにすべきである。過ちが光の下にさらされれば、その重荷は軽くなり、浄化への道は強められるからである。」
