Educational Q&A

As a chapter-ending colophon, the line indicates that the completed chapter’s subject is the origin (utpatti) of all beings, presented as a liberative (mokṣadharma) teaching attributed here to Śrī Kṛṣṇa—implying that understanding existence and its arising supports detachment, right discernment, and the pursuit of liberation.

The text is not advancing the story but formally closing a doctrinal chapter within Śānti Parva’s Mokṣadharma section. It announces that the two-hundred-and-seventh chapter, concerning the genesis of all beings as taught by Kṛṣṇa, has concluded.
