मध्ये वै पापयोनीनां शार्गालीं यामहं गत: । पापीयस्यो बहुतरा इतो<न्या: पापयोनय:
madhye vai pāpayonīnāṃ śārgālīṃ yām ahaṃ gataḥ | pāpīyasy-o bahutarā ito 'nyāḥ pāpayonayaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「いま私が堕ちた山犬（ジャッカル）の胎も罪ある生の一つに数えられる。だが、これよりなお卑しい罪の胎は数多く存在するのだ。」
