ततः प्रदुद्रुवु: सर्वे विप्रसंघा: समनन््ततः । गौतमो<पि सुवर्णस्य भारमादाय सत्वर:
tataḥ pradudruvuḥ sarve viprasaṅghāḥ samanantataḥ | gautamo ’pi suvarṇasya bhāram ādāya satvaraḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。すると、バラモンたちの一団は皆、四方へ散って逃げ去った。ゴータマもまた、重い黄金の荷を急いで担ぎ、あわただしく進んだ。重荷に押しつぶされるように苦しみながら、彼は榕樹（バニヤン）のもとへ向かった。そこに着くと、彼は疲れ果てて座り込み、飢えに責められ、倦みきっていた。
