सो5सृजद् वातमर्ग्निं च भास्करं चापि वीर्यवान् । आकाशमस्जच्चोर्ध्वमधो भूमिं च नै#ऋतीम्,उन शक्तिशाली पितामहने वायु, अग्नि और सूर्यकी सृष्टि की। आकाश, ऊपर, नीचे, भूमि तथा राक्षससमूहकी भी रचना की
so ’sṛjad vātaṃ vahniṃ ca bhāskaraṃ cāpi vīryavān | ākāśam asṛjac cordhvam adho bhūmiṃ ca nairṛtīm ||
ビーシュマは言った。「その大いなる創造主（プラジャーパティ）は、風と火と太陽を生み出した。さらに、虚空、上界と下界、大地、そしてナイリタ（羅刹）類の存在をも創り出したのである。」
