Vaiśampāyana uvāca: kathāntaram athāsādya khaḍga-yuddha-viśāradaḥ | Nakulaḥ śara-talpa-stham idam āha pitāmaham ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「ジャナメージャヤよ、先の物語が結びを迎え、折よく機会が訪れたとき、剣戦に秀でたナクラは、矢の床に横たわる大祖父ビーシュマに近づき、次のように問いかけた。」
