” न पुनर्जीवित: कश्चित्‌ कालधर्ममुपागत: । प्रियो वा यदि वा द्वेष्य: प्राणिनां गतिरीदृशी

na punarjīvitaḥ kaścit kāladharmam upāgataḥ | priyo vā yadi vā dveṣyaḥ prāṇināṃ gatir īdṛśī ||

ビーシュマは言った。「時の法—すなわち死—に帰した者で、再び生き返った者は誰一人いない。愛する者であれ憎む者であれ、あらゆる生きものの行き着く先は同じである。」
