इति श्रीमहाभारते शान्तिपर्वणि आपद्धर्मपर्वणि भार्याप्रशंसायां चतुश्चत्वारिंशदधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत आपद्धर्मपर्वमें पत्नीकी प्रशंसाविषयक एक सौ चौवालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi āpaddharmaparvaṇi bhāryāpraśaṃsāyāṃ catuścatvāriṃśad-adhika-śatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |

Translation

かくして『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』の「シャーンティ・パルヴァ」—とりわけ困難の時の規範を説く「アーパッド・ダルマ」章—における「妻を讃える章」は終わりを告げる。すなわち第百四十四章、ここに完結する。この奥書は、逆境にあってもダルマを支える伴侶としての妻の倫理的価値についてのビーシュマの教示が、ここで結ばれたことを示す。
