लीन: स तस्य गात्रेषु पलितो देशकालवित् । चिच्छेद पाशान् नृपते कालापेक्षी शनै: शनै:
līnaḥ sa tasya gātreṣu palito deśa-kāla-vit | ciccheda pāśān nṛpate kālāpekṣī śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「場所と時を見極める術に長けた灰色の老鼠は、猫の身体にぴたりと身を寄せて身を潜め、好機を待った。迫り来る危難を見張りつつ、王よ、彼はゆっくりと、しかし確かに、縄の輪を噛み切っていった。」
