तम्मित्र कारणं सर्व विस्तरेणापि मे शूणु । कारणात्‌ प्रियतामेति द्वेष्यो भवति कारणात्‌

Transliteration

tan mitra kāraṇaṁ sarvaṁ vistareṇāpi me śṛṇu | kāraṇāt priyatām eti dveṣyo bhavati kāraṇāt ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「友よ、これらすべての理由を私が詳しく説くゆえ、聞け。そなたの甘い言葉――『今日はそなたがことさらにいとしく思える』――にも因がある。人は因によって愛され、また因によって憎まれるのだ。」
