छिन्नं तु तन्तुबाहुल्यं तन्तुरेको5वशेषितः
chinnaṃ tu tantubāhulyaṃ tantur eko 'vaśeṣitaḥ
ビーシュマは言った。「多くの糸は断ち切られたが、なお一本の糸が残っている。」倫理的には、幾多の絡みつく縁を断っても、微細な執着や因縁の残滓がなお存することがある、という譬えである。それを見抜き、断ち切ってこそ、完全な解放に至る。
