तस्मात्‌ सशेषं कर्तव्यं स्वाधीनमपि दस्युभि: । न बलस्थो5हमस्मीति नृशंसानि समाचरेत्‌

Transliteration

tasmāt saśeṣaṁ kartavyaṁ svādhīnam api dasyubhiḥ | na balastho 'ham asmīti nṛśaṁsāni samācaret ||

Translation

ゆえに、たとえ盗賊であっても、他人の財を支配下に収めたなら、なお幾ばくかを残し、ことごとく奪い尽くしてはならぬ。「我は強し、我は力ある」と思い上がって、残虐のふるまいをなしてはならない。
