Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment

एतत्‌ कारणसामर्थ्य श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वत: । भवन्तो5पि तपोनित्या ब्रूयुरेतत्‌ समन्विता:

etad kāraṇa-sāmarthyaṁ śrotum icchāmi tattvataḥ | bhavanto 'pi tapo-nityā brūyur etat samanvitāḥ ||

ビーシュマは言った。「この因と、その実効の力とを、真実に、余すところなく明らかに聞きたい。汝らもまた常に苦行に励む者である。ゆえに和合して集い、この事を説き示せ。もし我が問いが汝らの修行を乱すなら、私は控えよう。だが語らう時があるなら、我が提した疑いを解き明かしてほしい。」
