दिश: सम्प्राद्रवन् राजन् भयाज्जीवितकांक्षिण: । राजन! उस शरभसे भयभीत हो जंगलके सभी पशु अपनी जान बचानेके लिये डरके मारे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें भाग गये
diśaḥ samprādravan rājan bhayāj jīvitakāṅkṣiṇaḥ |
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、恐れと生への執着に駆られて、生きものたちは四方へと逃げ散った。」この一句は、恐怖が衆生を本来の秩序から散乱させ、自己保存の衝動が平静と分別を圧し流すことを示している。
