iti prakāraṃ śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi antargate rājadharmānuśāsanaparvaṇi mātā-pitṛ-guru-māhātmyaviṣayaka ekaśatāṣṭamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ
かくして『マハーバーラタ』寂静篇(Śānti Parva)における王法訓戒の部、そのうち母・父・師の偉大さと神聖を説く第百八章は了となる。物語はこの倫理的教誨の一区切りを、定式の結語によって厳かに告げて閉じる。
भीष्म उवाच
