शकुनि (हिरण्मय-पक्षी) उपदेशः — Vighasāśin and the Difficulty of Gārhasthya
धर्मोडयमिति मन्वाना: समृद्धा ब्रह्मचारिण: । त्यक्त्वा भ्रातृन् पितृश्चैव तानिन्द्रोडन्वकृपायत
dharma udayam iti manvānāḥ samṛddhā brahmacāriṇaḥ | tyaktvā bhrātṝn pitṝṃś caiva tān indro ’nvakṛpāyata ||
それこそがダルマの高まりであり本質だと信じて、裕福な若者たちは梵行（ブラフマチャリヤ）の規律を受け入れた。兄弟を捨て、さらには父母をも捨てて森へ入り、これを正しさとみなした。ある日、インドラは彼らを憐れんだ。
