उत्साहश्व कृतो नित्यं मया दिष्ट्या युयुत्सता । दिष्ट्या चास्मिन्‌ हतो युद्धे निहतज्ञातिबान्धव:

「戦おうとする志を抱き、私は常に気概と奮い立つ心を保ってきた――それは幸いである。さらに、この戦において、親族や縁者が討たれたのち、私自身もまた戦場で命を捧げて倒れること――それもまた、私にとって格別の満足である。」
