Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57

ततो मुहूर्तादुपलभ्य चेतनां प्रमृज्य वक्‍त्र॑ रुधिराक्तमात्मन: | धृतिं समालम्ब्य विवृत्य लोचने बलेन संस्तभ्य वृकोदर: स्थित:

tato muhūrtād upalabhya cetanāṃ pramṛjya vaktraṃ rudhirāktam ātmanaḥ | dhṛtiṃ samālambya vivṛtya locane balena saṃstabhya vṛkodaraḥ sthitaḥ ||

サンジャヤは言った。しばらくして、ビー マセーナは意識を取り戻した。血にまみれた自らの顔をぬぐい、決意を支えとして心を立て直す。目を開き、ただ力で身を踏みとどめ、ヴリコーダラは再び立ち上がって、戦いへ戻る備えを整えた――苛烈な戦の要請のただ中に示された忍耐の姿である。
