मोघं दुर्योधनश्षक्रे तत्रा भूद् विस््मयो महान् । परंतु महाबली दुर्योधनको इससे तनिक भी घबराहट नहीं हुई। उसने फुर्तीसे इधर-उधर होकर उस प्रहारको व्यर्थ कर दिया। यह देख वहाँ सब लोगोंको महान् आश्चर्य हुआ ।।
sa tu moghā gadā rājan patantī bhīmacoditā | cālayāmāsa pṛthivīṃ mahānirghātaniḥsvanā ||
サンジャヤは言った。「王よ、ビーマセーナの投じたそのガダーは、むなしく落ちた。空しく地に落ちるや、雷霆の落つるがごとき轟音を発し、激しい衝撃の響きで大地を揺るがした。これを見て、その場の者は皆、大いなる驚愕に包まれた。」
