शब्द आसीत् सुतुमुलस्तेजश्च॒ समजायत । भारत! आपके पुत्रकी वायुतुल्य गदाके वेगसे उस गदाके टकरानेपर बड़े जोरका शब्द हुआ और दोनों गदाओंसे आगकी चिनगारियाँ छूटने लगीं
śabda āsīt sutumulas tejaś ca samajāyata |
サञ्जयは言った。「凄まじい轟音が鳴り響き、火のような眩い光輝が立ちのぼった。おお、バーラタ王よ。風のごとく迅い汝の子のガダーが相手のガダーに打ち当たるや、衝撃は雷鳴のように轟き、両の武器から火花が散って、決闘の猛威はいよいよ増した。」
