ततो दृष्ट्वा प्ररुरुदु: को5स्मान् संविभजिष्यति । उनका संन्यास लेनेका विचार जानकर पितरोंसहित समस्त प्राणी यह कहते हुए रोने लगे “कि अब हमें कौन विभागपूर्वक अन्नदान करेगा”
tato dṛṣṭvā praruruduḥ ko ’smān saṁvibhajiṣyati |
そのさまを見て、彼らはたちまち号泣した。「いまや、誰が我らに相応の分け前を、しかるべき順序で分配してくれるのか。」彼が出離—サンニャーサ（遁世）—を思案していると知るや、万有の生きとし生けるものは祖霊ピトリ（Pitṛ）とともに悲嘆の声をあげ、秩序ある分配と命を支える施食の恵みが失われることを恐れて泣き叫んだ。
