अरुन्धत्यपि कल्याणी तपोनित्याभवत्‌ तदा । “वे तपस्वी मुनि वहीं आश्रम बनाकर रहने लगे। उस समय कल्याणी अरुन्धती भी प्रतिदिन तपस्यामें ही लगी रही

Arundhaty api kalyāṇī tapo-nityābhavat tadā.

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。その時、吉祥なるアルンダティーもまた、日々タパス(苦行)に専心し、揺るぎなく修行を続けた。苦行のムニたちはそこにアーシュラマを結び、住まいとした。その折、アルンダティーも毎日欠かさず苦行に励み続けたのである。
