अध्याय ४ — दुर्योधनस्य असंधि-निश्चयः
Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation
श्वेताक्ष॒ वेगसम्पन्ना: शशिकाशसमप्रभा: । पिबन्त इव चाकाशं रथे युक्तास्तु वाजिन:
śvetākṣa vegasampannāḥ śaśikāśasamaprabhāḥ | pibanta iva cākāśaṃ rathe yuktās tu vājinaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。戦車に繋がれた馬たちは白き眼を持ち、驚くべき速さを備え、月と淡いカーシャの花のように輝いていた。あまりの疾走に、まるで天空そのものを飲み干さんばかりであった――戦の光景の緊迫を高め、武威への畏怖をいっそう募らせる。
