इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शल्यपर्वके अन्तर्गत गदापव॑नें बलदेवजीकी तीर्थयात्राके प्रसंगमें प्रभासतीर्थका वर्णनविषयक पैतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,ग्रावाण: शर्करा: कृत्वा प्रचक्रेडभिषवं नृप । आज्यं च सलिलं चक्रे भागांश्व॒ त्रेदिवौकसाम्
grāvāṇaḥ śarkarāḥ kṛtvā pracakreḍabhiṣavaṁ nṛpa | ājyaṁ ca salilaṁ cakre bhāgāṁś ca tredhivaukasām ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、搾取の石を小石に代えて、彼はソーマ抽出の儀を動かし始めた。さらに澄ましバター（ギー）と水とを、三天に住まう神々の正当な取り分として配分した。」棍棒の出来事に連なるバララーマの巡礼譚の枠内で、この偈は秩序ある祭儀行為の理想を呼び起こす。供物は己のために奪うのではなく、定められた分に従って分かち与えられる—動乱の中にあっても節制と礼法と敬虔を示すのである。
