तद्धयादपसर्पन् वै तस्मिन् कूपे पपात ह । अगाधे सुमहाघोरे सर्वभूतभयंकरे
taddhyādapasarpan vai tasmin kūpe papāta ha | agādhe sumahāghore sarvabhūtabhayaṅkare ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「そのように逃げ惑ううち、彼はまことにその井戸へ落ちた——底知れず、甚だしく凄惨で、あらゆる生きものを恐れさせる井戸である。この出来事は、狼狽と無思慮な逃走が、最初に見えた脅威よりもはるかに大きな危難へ人を導きうることを示している。」
